Contract intake desk
Most contracting delay is not drafting time. It is the days a request spends sitting in an inbox because nobody owns the step after it.
This is the smallest possible version of an operational owner: one intake point, tracked status on every request, and somebody whose job is to chase the approval that everyone else finds awkward to chase.
What you get
- A single intake point for commercial document requests
- Every request logged with a requester, a type, a status and an owner
- Active chasing of the approval step, by role rather than by name
- A weekly status line to whoever needs to see it
- A monthly summary of volume, cycle time and where requests actually stall
SNJ Legal does not provide legal advice, does not prepare the documents being requested and does not decide whether a request should be approved. This engagement moves requests through your process; the decisions inside that process stay yours.
Questions
Asked and answered
- How is this different from the fractional engagement?
- This one runs the request layer only. Fractional legal operations also maintains the template library, administers version control and reviews the template set quarterly. Start here if you have a system already and nobody running it.
- Can we upgrade later?
- Yes, and the intake log is the input to the larger engagement, so nothing is wasted.
- Can we cancel?
- On one month's notice, without a reason. A retainer that is hard to leave is a retainer that stops having to earn itself, so the exit is deliberately plain.
